Captains Flat is situated in south eastern New South Wales. Nested in the Great Dividing Range the town sits at around 1000 metres above sea level.

Summer days can be warm however the latitude & elevation with protection from the prevailing winds provide 'the Flat' with a most comfortable climate most days. In the winter snow may drift from the sullen skies casting a pall over the neighbouring hills. A yuletide atmosphere prevails inviting an experience to remember.
